You must read and accept the terms of this agreement.
Does not Include:
- Travel Insurance
- Travel to Los Angeles
- Optional pre-trip dinner and hotel
- Visa fees
- We can help you with your Visa. It cannot be obtained until Jan. 2020 and the application process takes about a month. You will be without your passport during the time of the application process.
- We will provide the travel letter and itinerary documentation necessary for Visa application.
Cancellation and Refunds
We know life happens. Planning a trip to China is a commitment we take seriously, and we trust that you take it seriously as well. It takes energy to set up and organize the details pertinent to international travel on our part. At the same time, it takes energy to organize and plan the details of your life to travel internationally for 3 weeks.
So, in honor of the energy that is required on both sides, we ask that you treat this cancellation policy as a guide for communicating with us as soon as possible about any changes in your decision to pursue travel with Mystical Abode.
All cancellations must be in writing, and are effective based on the date received in our office. Refunds will be granted based on the following schedule:
90 days prior to departure: 100% received minus any non-refundable prepaid expenses, credit card fees and a $150.00 processing fee.
90-60 days prior to departure: 50% refund of payments received minus any non-refundable prepaid expenses and credit card fees and a $150.00 processing fee.
Less than 60 days: 0% refund of payments received.
There will be NO refunds for termination of travel AFTER trip begins. Even if a member must involuntarily cancel for physical health reasons AFTER the trip within China has begun, and does not use a portion of their already pre-paid services, no refunds will be made. It is simply too difficult to get refunds in China. No refunds are made for unused excursions, entry fees, or unused special program activities.
Additionally, refunds to credit cards will necessitate an additional 5% fee.
In case of emergency, hospitalization of you or a family member, sudden death in the family, it is understood that the registrant or representative will communicate to a Mystical Abode representative as soon as possible. Our cancellation policy is outlined above.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance or a waiver of travel insurance is required of all travelers for this agreement to be complete. A basic travel insurance policy is available for each participant, at their own cost and is highly recommended! Travel insurance may be obtained from the Mystical Abode travel agent or your travel agent. Such coverage typically includes medical expenses, emergency medical transportation, trip cancellation, interruption or delay, baggage delay and loss, personal effects losses, accidents, various emergency referral services, and waiver of pre-existing medical conditions (insurance coverage is subject to the issuer’s limitations and exclusions as they are outlined in participant’s copy of issuer’s policy). Loss recovery is subject to the limitations and exclusions which are outlined by the issuer of your policy and to the above stated restrictions. Any refund for services not taken will be made by the insurance carrier, and shall be subject to the limitations and exclusions outlined by the policy the insurance provider shall issue.
Liability
If the trip must be canceled, the liability of Mystical Abode or its agents is limited to the refund of moneys received by Mystical Abode or its agents subject to the above stated terms and conditions. Mystical Abode reserves the right in its sole discretion to withdraw the tour, in which case refunds will be made as appropriate, or to make such alterations in the schedule as it may deem necessary or desirable. In particular where special visits and/or meetings are scheduled to be arranged, Mystical Abode shall not be responsible for changes, substitutions or alternate arrangements that may be necessary should for any reason the appointment for such special visits and/or meetings be changed or canceled by the principals involved. In such instances, when possible, alternate arrangements or substitute programs will be arranged.
Mystical Abode shall not be responsible for any additional costs due to guest actions or loss of documentation such as travel documents.
Mystical Abode shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under this Agreement because of circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of God, flood, fire, riot, accident, strikes or work stoppages for any reason, sabotage, computer viruses, embargo, inability to obtain phone lines, government action, including any laws, ordinances, regulations, judicial decisions or the like, and other causes of similar substance, whether or not of the same class or kind as specifically named above, which restrict or prohibit the providing of the services contemplated by this Agreement or which make the providing of services contemplated by this Agreement unduly burdensome.
In arranging for transportation, conveyance, hotel accommodations, meals or other services, and in carrying out the project, neither Mystical Abode nor its agents shall be responsible or liable for any loss, cost, injury, delay, damage, irregularity, or expense of any kind whatsoever, arising from the use of any conveyance, accommodations or services, or from pilferage, theft, government restrictions or regulations. Any loss or expense resulting from the above contingencies shall be born by the individual participant. Mystical Abode nor its agents shall not be responsible nor liable for any faults, acts or omissions of any transportation carrier, hotel or any other service provider. All services are subject to the laws of the respective countries visited. Mystical Abode shall not be responsible in any way for any loss or damage to a project member’s baggage or personal effects.
Indemnification: Participant agrees to indemnify and hold Mystical Abode and its officers, directors, agents and employees harmless from and against any loss, liability, damage or expense (including reasonable legal expenses and costs) which Mystical Abode or such officer, director, agents or employees may suffer or sustain as a result of or in conjunction with ( i ) the breach by participant of any representation, covenant, or agreement of participant contained in this Agreement; ( ii ) any liabilities of or claims against participant by third parties, employees, taxing authorities, governments or agencies thereof, whether accrued, absolute, contingent or otherwise, arising from the conduct of participant or events that occurred prior to the project ( iii ) any claim, suit or cause of action relating to the project contemplated by this Agreement that may be brought or threatened to be brought by an agent of participant in his, her or its capacity as an agent of tour member. Mystical Abode shall not be liable for any loss or damage that may result from the acts or omissions of other or any Mystical Abode members, their guests, or agents when such acts or omissions are beyond the control of Mystical Abode. Participant agrees that Mystical Abode shall not be liable for any loss or damage to tour member which is caused by the failure or malfunction of a vehicle, plane, train, ship or other instrument of transportation when such failure or malfunction is the result of acts or circumstances beyond the control of Mystical Abode.
